I spent more than 20 years working in the trades.

I've been a pipefitter, welder, mechanic, sandblaster, framer and roofer. I've worked with my hands, dealt with customers, chased jobs, dealt with deadlines, and learned firsthand that running a business is about a whole lot more than just doing the work.

Eventually, an injury changed the direction of my career and I retrained as a bookkeeper.

That turned out to be a pretty good combination.

Because when I work with contractors and tradespeople, I'm not just looking at numbers on a spreadsheet. I understand where those numbers come from.

I understand what it's like to have a truck payment, tools to buy, employees to pay, materials going out the door, customers who haven't paid yet, and a job that somehow took twice as long as you thought it would.

That's why I built my bookkeeping business around contractors and small businesses.

My goal isn't to bury you in accounting jargon or hand you a pile of reports that don't mean anything to you.

I want your books to make sense.
